Ceramic products, like glass, are included in the group of silicate products. Ceramic products are called, made mainly of clay materials and fired to give strength. Depending on the firing temperature, as well as the mass composition of the shards of ceramic products, it may turn out to be porous or solid (sintered). To make the surface of ceramic products smooth, easy to clean and not absorbing moisture, it is covered with glaze, which is a thin layer of glassy mass.

Art and decorative products

Artistic and decorative products include flower vases, wall plates, various sculptural products, busts, bas-reliefs and some types of artistically decorated dishes.

Flower vases are made from porcelain, faience and majolica. Particularly diverse are porcelain flower vases. They can be of various styles and sizes, decorated mainly by painting, often with the use of solid roofing.

Wall plates are made of porcelain with a diameter of 250 mm, decorate them most often with painting. The sculptural products are very diverse in assortment, for example: a harmonist, a construction girl, Nakhimov’s, a girl with a cat, a trumpeter, a quartet, a teddy bear, an elephant, etc. The vast majority of these products are produced with glazed paints or gold.

Busts and bas-reliefs are porcelain unglazed or glazed products. Porcelain wine carafes, piles for decanters, mustard, mugs, oilers, teapots, dinner pans, etc. are attributed to artistic utensils. These dishes are decorated manually with paints and gold.

Sort. By quality, busts and bas-reliefs are of the highest and 1st grades. Vases and other porcelain products are divided into the highest, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades, from faience and majolica - into the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades.
